Fire near Machu Picchu kills one, injures two

A fire broke out Friday in Peru's Sacred Valley near Machu Picchu's main access road, killing one elderly person and injuring two others with second-degree burns. The blaze originated from controlled bush burning by farmers and spread rapidly due to hot, windy conditions and dry vegetation, officials said.
