Fire on oil tanker brought under control with India's help: Sri Lanka Navy
The fire on board the MT New Diamond oil tanker off Sri Lanka has been brought under control with the help of India in a combined operation, the Sri Lankan Navy said. Of the 23 crew members, 22 have been rescued. A Filipino sailor died in the engine room explosion that led to the fire on the tanker on Thursday.
