Red Bird Flight Training Academy, the firm operating the medical plane that crashed in Jharkhand, killing 7 people, was flagged by Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) thrice in the last six years. The first incident occurred in 2021 in Baramati, Maharashtra, where the pilot lost in-flight control. The second incident in 2023 involving engine power loss also happened in Baramati.
