The Indore Police has filed two FIRs against an unidentified person and one beggar (identified as a woman) after the former gave money to the latter. This came after the district administration banned begging. The section under which the FIRs were filed allows for imprisonment of up to one year, a fine of up to ₹2,500, or both.
