First 3D structures of active DNA created
short by Gaurav Shroff / on Wednesday, 15 March, 2017
Cambridge University scientists have determined the first 3D genetic structures from individual mice cells to understand how DNA intricately folds to fit together inside the cell nuclei. The knowledge allows scientists to study how genes and the DNA regions "interact". The method of genome mapping could be used to study abnormal cancer cells and cause of diseases, scientists said.
