The first Royal Child of Bhutan's King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Gyaltsuen Jetsun Pema was born on Friday in Thimphu's Lingkana Palace. "Our happiness knows no bounds, as we announce the Royal Birth of His Royal Highness The Gyalsey on 5th February 2016," said Queen Pema's Facebook page. Wangchuck married Pema in a Buddhist ceremony in 2011.
