A children's hospital in Chennai performed Tamil Nadu's first Cochlear Nucleus Nexa implant on a nine-year-old girl from Bangladesh with severe hearing loss. Led by Dr Venkatakarthikeyan C, the smart implant supports upgrades, improves speech and sound clarity, and enhances communication. The child is recovering well under close post-operative care.
