First evidence of feathered polar dinosaurs found in Australia

Researchers have found non-avian and avian dinosaur feathers from an Early Cretaceous polar environment in what is now southeastern Australia. The fossil feathers provide the first record of dinosaur integument from the ancient polar regions. The fossil feathers found in Australia were all entombed in fine muddy sediments that accumulated at the bottom of a shallow lake close.
