The first solar eclipse of 2026, 'ring of fire' annular solar eclipse, will be visible on February 17. Unlike a total solar eclipse, this happens when the Moon is positioned farther away from the Earth, with Moon appearing smaller than Sun, creating a solar ring. The annular eclipse will peak at around 5:17 pm and will be seen across Antarctica.
