The world's first ever successful telephone call was made by the device's inventor, Alexander Graham Bell, on March 10, 1876. He had made a call to his assistant in the next room and his words were, "Mr. Watson, come here; I want to see you". Notably, Bell had received a comprehensive telephone patent three days before making the successful call.
