Joby Aviation, a US venture-backed company, successfully conducted first test flight of its fully-electric air taxi, Joby Aerial Taxi, in Dubai this week. The electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft can cover distances of up to 160 km at around 320km/hr, helping to reduce both travel time and emissions. The company intends to launch commercial air-taxi service next year.
