First-ever fossil nursery of the great white shark found

Researchers from the University of Vienna have discovered an ancient great white shark breeding ground in Chile. This is the first-ever known fossil nursery of the vulnerable species. Young white sharks are born in designated breeding areas, where they are protected from other predators until they're large enough to not fear competitors. The analysed teeth were two-five million years old.
