Fish oil supplements may not prevent Alzheimer's disease, a new USC Keck Medicine study suggests. Although DHA from the supplements reached the brain, researchers found no significant improvement in memory or thinking. The study, involving 365 older adults, indicates that a balanced diet may offer greater brain-health benefits than fish oil capsules alone.
