According to a new filing, five companies considered buying LinkedIn, which was acquired by Microsoft last month in an all-cash deal worth $26.2 billion. The five companies include Salesforce, Alphabet, Facebook, Oracle and IBM. The filing also says that LinkedIn is subject to a $725 million breakup fee if it terminates the merger agreement with Microsoft.
