Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) said five LCA Mk1A fighter jets are fully ready for delivery to the Indian Air Force, while nine more have been built and flown but are awaiting engines from US-based GE. The clarification comes amid reports of HAL losing the AMCA prototype project. HAL added that engine supplies are improving and delivery talks with the IAF are ongoing.
