DMK chief M Karunanidhi, who passed away aged 94 after multiple-organ failure, was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu five times and never lost an election in his life. Popularly known as 'Kalaignar', he contested his first election from Kulithalai in 1957 and won from Thiruvarur in 2016, his 13th election. He was also the oldest CM of Tamil Nadu.
