Walmart-owned e-commerce startup Flipkart is close to acquiring the online travel portal Cleartrip in a distress sale, the Economic Times reported, citing sources. The deal, expected to be a mix of cash and equity, is likely to value 15-year-old Cleartrip at $40 million, the report added. Cleartrip last raised funds in 2016 when it was reportedly valued at $300 million.
