Walmart-owned Flipkart will lay off 1,000 employees, which represent around 5% of its total workforce, in an annual restructuring move, as per a report. The Bengaluru-based company has around 22,000 people on its payroll. To control costs and maintain profits, Flipkart had reportedly frozen fresh hiring in the company over the past year.
