Heavy rains lashed the UAE on Tuesday, causing flash floods in Dubai. The country's disaster management authority advised residents to leave their homes only in cases of extreme necessity. The rains, which began overnight, also disrupted operations at Dubai International Airport briefly. Schools were largely shut across UAE and government employees were allowed to work remotely if possible.
