Flowers may be losing their fragrances because of increasing temperatures associated with global warming, Israeli scientists said. Flowers produce scent to attract pollinating insects to their reproductive organs, ensuring the species' continued existence. A scientist demonstrated an approach to bypass the effect by expressing a gene, which boosts scent production regardless of the temperature.
