US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced that flu shots will no longer be mandatory for military troops. He added, "The notion that a flu vaccine must be mandatory for every service member...is just overly broad and not rational." Hegseth further said US troops were denied "simple medical autonomy and freedom of expression for religious convictions" under the Biden administration.
