Following 6-hr chase, Maha FDA seizes banned tobacco products worth ₹1.13 cr in Pune

Maharashtra FDA seized banned gutkha, pan masala and flavoured tobacco worth over ₹1.13 crore following a six-hour chase in Pune on Friday. Acting on a tip-off, officials pursued a truck that changed its route while travelling from Madhya Pradesh towards Bhiwandi, eventually intercepting it at Chakan-Talegaon Chowk. FDA said the incident could be part of an organised illegal trade racket.
