Food expert Krish Ashok has slammed reports that fruit sellers inject the harmful colour dye Erythrosine-B or Red-B into watermelons to enhance their appearance. According to Ashok, injecting the dye in one place would only colour a particular area, as opposed to what the pictures show. Erythrosine B is a red dye that makes the fruit ripe and juicy.
