The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) visited Akashwani canteen, which serves food to the MLA hostel adjacent to the Mantralaya building in Mumbai. This comes after Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) MLA Sanjay Gaikwad assaulted the canteen contractor over "stale meal". The officials inspected kitchen and storage after which 16 food samples were collected and sent to a laboratory for testing.
