Ahead of Assembly polls in Assam, Home Minister Amit Shah alleged that during Congress rule, "for 15 years, every year, ₹150 crore from the state's health budget was pocketed by them." Speaking at healthcare inaugurations worth ₹2,092 crore, he added, "Assam's healthcare was in shambles 10 years ago as Congress worked only for the financial health of its leaders' families."
