Ford India, a subsidiary of US-based carmaker Ford, arrived at a final severance package for the workers of its Chennai plant after it decided to shut the plant down as part of a restructuring exercise. A cumulative severance package for each employee would range from ₹34.50 lakh-₹86.50 lakh and revised settlement would be an average of about 5.1 years' salary.
