Ford Motor Company has created a shopping trolley prototype that can apply brakes by itself to prevent a collision. The company leveraged its car technology, that uses a forward-facing camera and radar to detect vehicles or pedestrians and applies brakes automatically if the driver doesn't respond to warnings, to make the prototype. The 'Self-Braking Trolley' uses a similar sensor.
