Foreign Interference Commission can't probe Nijjar murder: Canada

The Canadian High Commission in India said Canada's Foreign Interference Commission is not mandated to probe the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Sikh separatist. This comes after the commission in its report said it had not found any definitive link with a foreign state in the killing. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau had accused India of being involved in killing.

Sonia Gandhi hospitalised: Report

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi, a PTI report quoting sources said on Thursday. She is doing fine and is likely to be discharged on Friday, the sources added. Gandhi, who turned 78 in December last year, was admitted to the same hospital in 2023 following a chest infection.

Gill scored an unbeaten 101 off 129 deliveries against Bangladesh in India's Champions Trophy 2025 opener, which was also his Champions Trophy debut. Sachin Tendulkar, Shikhar Dhawan and Mohammad Kaif are the other three batters to score a hundred on Champions Trophy debut.
