As per the judiciary, Gujarat records more than 250 paternity test cases annually, out of which 98% cases confirm suspicions. The DNA division of the Directorate of Forensic Sciences is the main agency for the tests that are strictly routed through the police and courts. Most of the cases are financially motivated, a police officer revealed.
