Former international football player George Weah has been sworn in as the new President of Liberia, in the country's first democratic power transition in 47 years. Weah said he will offer steady progress towards goals of Liberians rather than "quick fixes". He also thanked his predecessor, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, for bringing peace to the country after years of civil war.
