Former MoviePass CEO Mitch Lowe and Ted Farnsworth, the ex-CEO of MoviePass' parent company, have been sued by SEC for allegedly misleading the public. The agency accused both executives of making misstatements that MoviePass could be profitable at its $9.95 per month subscription model. They also "devised fraudulent tactics to prevent MoviePass' heavy users from using the service", SEC alleged.
