Former Punjab Home Secretary and retired IAS officer of 1982 batch, Sarwan Singh Channy on Thursday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. He joined the party in the presence of senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. In the past, Channy has held various key positions in Punjab government including Chief Information Officer, NRI Affairs, Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana, among others.
