K Shankaran Nair, former chief of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) passed away early on Tuesday morning in a Bengaluru hospital. The 94-year-old who had been unwell owing to age-related issues is survived by his daughter. Known for taking India's mission forward during the 1971 Bangladesh war, RAW under Nair is said to have trained Bangladeshi guerilla organisation Mukti Bahini.
