Former SL cricketer Rumesh Tharanga beats Neeraj's best with Asia's 2nd longest javelin throw

Sri Lanka's Rumesh Tharanga, who bowled at 134 kmph as a teenage cricketer before switching to javelin, won Rome Diamond League with a 92.62m throw on Thursday. The 23-year-old beat two-time world champion Anderson Peters. His national record surpassed Neeraj Chopra's 90.23m best and became the second-longest Asian throw after Pakistans' Arshad Nadeem's 92.97m at Paris Olympics.
