TikTok’s ex-global marketing head Katie Puris sued the firm in US, claiming she was fired after she reported sex, age and disability discrimination. Puris said she was subjected to derogatory comments about her age. She added ByteDance chairman Zhang Lidong preferred "docility and meekness" in female employees and that he believed women "should remain quiet and humble at all times".
