Former executive of Uber, Travis VanderZanden's e-scooter startup Bird has raised $15 million from investors including Tusk Ventures. VanderZanden also worked at Uber's rival Lyft, which sued him for allegedly breaking a confidentiality agreement after he joined Uber. Founded in 2017, Bird app allows users to rent e-scooters at the price of $1 per ride, plus 15 cents per minute.
