Former UP Minister Gayatri Prajapati was attacked with an iron stick by an inmate named Vishwas in Lucknow prison on Tuesday, jail officials said. The inmate got annoyed after Prajapati hurled abuses at him and refused to give water while he was performing cleaning duty, the jail superintendent stated. Prajapati sustained minor injuries on his hand and head.
