Former West Bengal minister and CPI(M) leader Manab Mukherjee died in Kolkata on Tuesday after suffering a cardiac arrest, a party release said. The 67-year-old leader was a minister in the Left Front government from 1996 to 2011 and was an MLA from Kolkata's Beliaghata constituency from 1987 to 2011. Mukherjee had reportedly suffered two brain hemorrhages in the past.
