Scientists have identified a fourth form of water that could potentially exist on alien worlds. An international team of researchers created plastic ice VII by squeezing water up to pressures of 6 gigapascal and heating it to temperatures as high as 327°C. Researchers believe icy planets like Neptune, Uranus or Jupiter's moon Europa might have harboured it in the past.
