Frailty and depression together may triple dementia risk: Study

A new study warns that frailty and depression together significantly raise dementia risk in older adults. Published in General Psychiatry, the research found the combined effect can account for nearly 17% of dementia cases. Experts say early screening, mental health care, regular activity and balanced nutrition may help reduce this growing risk among the elderly.
