France's trade ministry on Saturday condemned US interference in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies of French firms, calling it "unacceptable." It added, "France and Europe will defend their companies, their consumers, and also their values." US Embassy in Paris had asked French companies currently doing or seeking business with US to certify that they did not practice DEI programmes.
