France defeated first-time finalists Croatia 4-2 in 2018 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday to win the quadrennial tournament for the first time since 1998. France became the first team since Brazil in 1970 to score four goals in a World Cup final. This was the first time since 2002 that the World Cup final was decided in regulation time.
