France has made it illegal to work after 6PM, in any form i.e. workers won’t be even able to respond to emails (from work or bosses) after 6PM, and they will also be required to turn off their phones after 6PM. France's 35-hour week, introduced in 1999, has come under threat from the increasingly widespread use of smartphones.
