France opens River Seine for public swimming after a century

Three sites along the banks of the Seine in Paris, near the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, and in eastern Paris are now open for public swimming. The river has finally been opened for public use for the first time since 1923, following an extensive clean-up operation last year in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
