Axis Bank-owned payments and e-commerce startup FreeCharge's losses mounted to ₹356 crore in FY17, according to Registrar of Companies (RoC) filings. This is almost equal to about ₹385 crore Axis Bank had paid in July 2017 to acquire the startup. Founded in 2010, the startup was acquired by Snapdeal before it was bought by Axis Bank.
