All India Transporters Welfare Association (AITWA) warned that the cost of transporting goods across India could rise by up to 3% following the recent fuel price hike. AITWA chief Ashok Goyal said the road transport industry relies heavily on diesel and other oil-derived products for its operations. The association said it is promoting a shift towards electric and alternative fuels.
