French oil and gas major Total has agreed to acquire 37.4% stake in the Adani Group's gas distribution business Adani Gas, reportedly for ₹5,662 crore. Total will purchase up to 25.2% in Adani Gas from public shareholders and 12.2% stake from the Adani family. Following the transaction, the Adani family's shareholding in the company will also come down to 37.4%.
