French PM orders partial curfews amid ultra-left unrest

French PM Sébastien Lecornu ordered partial curfews in selected urban areas Monday as violent protests fuelled by ultra-left groups left town halls burnt and hundreds of businesses looted. President Macron rejected Interior Minister Laurent Nunez's resignation, criticised security failures, and announced economic measures addressing rising living costs. Over 2,400 people were arrested.
