Restaurants, bars and hotels across France on Wednesday set empty tables and draped chef's aprons outside to protest against COVID-19 restrictions and demand government aid. France had ordered the shutdown of its hospitality industry in mid-March to prevent the spread of coronavirus. However, the establishments remain closed despite the government relaxing some restrictions on May 11.
