French woman convicted of killing rapist husband fainted in court

A 40-year-old French woman, convicted of killing stepfather-turned-husband for allegedly abusing her for over 20 years, fainted in court upon hearing her prosecutor's request to set her free. Valérie Bacot had admitted to killing Daniel Polette in 2016 after he allegedly forced her to work as a prostitute. Bacot, who'd spent one year in jail, was set free on Friday.
